Blue Willow Transferware Tureen

So, let me ask you a question...

Do you do "Blue and White"?

Do you have an obsession with 

Blue and White Urns, Ginger Jars, Tureens, Transferware,

and all things Blue?

Me?...not so much.

I have some blue transferware,

not because it's blue, but because it's transferware...

until I found this old Blue Willow Tureen for about $10 at a Flea Market.

(sans lid)

Then, I had to rethink my position...

on Blue.

 I've only used this a few times, and it's always in the Fall;

when I can add Pumpkins and Bittersweet.

There's something about the orange that makes it work for me.

It's because orange and blue are opposite

 of each other on the color wheel.

The warm contrasts with the cool,

and that makes it work for me.

I see how beautiful it is. 

I admire it on other people's blogs and homes,

but I guess it's just not "me".

I believe that we surround ourselves with decor that compliments 

what we "look good in", as in our clothing, makeup, and hair color.

And I rarely wear blue other than Navy and Denim.

(and I never want blue hair...)
