Let's see what happened last week...

I really admire someone that can take an idea and interpret it in their own style. Deb from Lake Girl Paints has done just that with her wonderful artwork of this amazing Heron. She saw a similar version in a popular catalogue, then decided to create her own beautiful one-of-a-kind painting. You'll want to see her step-by-step tutorial on her method.

Last week, I managed to finish a project that I'd started when we first moved in to our new home. The top of the China Cabinet in the Dining Room had me at a standstill. I needed to take a new approach to it and so I shared a few things to consider when decorating the top of any cupboard or cabinet. And I changed up the mantel a bit for summer using some faux sunflowers and my little collection of white pottery. Nice to look at something a little different for a change.
