Welcome to my studio;
I'ts the place you'll usually find me.
A place where I can "perch", and be the "queen".
It hasn't changed too much in this last year, except I think I may have added a suitcase or two for more storage. That's my idea for stashing supplies; trunks, suitcases, "train cases", and hat boxes. I love old luggage and containers, so they are filled with ephemera, prints, paper, ribbon, jewelry findings, sewing supplies, and any number of odds and ends.
This room is my little escape and sanctuary.
Filled with bits and pieces of the things I love.
Mementos from friends
odds and ends...
A place where I create jewelry
and photograph it for my Etsy Shop
Much loved collections...
and where I write a personal blog on my spiritual walk with God
A place to dream and pray...
and look toward what the future may hold...
full of the familiar and much loved.
A desk full of ideas and inspiration...
and a must-have comfy chair and ottoman.
And what's a retreat unless you can have
your sweet companions there to enjoy it with you?
Hope you enjoyed the visit.

Hi Debra, I like your creative space. Mine is wherever I happen to be at the time. I have a bag with lots of pockets filled with projects that I can take with me. My favorite spot is a big chair here at home that I can curl up in while I embroidery. Your suitcases remind me of a couple that I have that belonged to my mother-in -law. I fill them with family pictures. Have a wonderful weekend. Your Missouri Friend.

ReplyDeleteGail
such a gorgeous room, debra! thanks so much for the tour! love that you added your cute kittens:)
ReplyDeleteThose are the spaces I dream of. My stuff is all over the house... with three kids and two dogs ( my dogs have their own room can you believe...it's where they go when we have to leave the house so they don't ruin the rest of the house) space is at a premium and I can't take away from one to give to myself... so I just spread out on the living room floor or dining table and pack up when I'm done. Sometime's I am not done until someone is coming over for a visit and I am forced to relocate my things. Someday... when my ids are gone.. my I am not going to look forward to that anytime soon. Just enjoy the present nad make the best of it. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful place to be inspired to create
