Vintage Inspiration Friday # 62: Thanksgiving Inspiration

This time of year it's really hard for me to hold off on decorating for Christmas. I guess it's because Fall arrives at my house on September 1, and by November 1 I'm ready to make the change. The Christmas Season just doesn't last long enough. And for all the effort we put into our decorating, it needs to last longer than just 5 weeks. I know some of you have the tradition of Christmas into January, but this girl just wants a clean slate come New Years Day.

OK, enough of my whining...so I visited Pinterest to oogle the great Thanksgiving decor and tablesettings for the holiday. Here are some of my favorite. Hope you'll share your Thanksgiving inspiration on the linky!

gives a great tutorial on making a spooky haunted house.


Nicki from the Vintage Farmhouse
created this wonderful  coffee filter garland
 that could be used anytime of the year!



Ann from Moonbeams and Fireflies is obsessed with Amber glass,
and she shows us a gorgeous stack of cake plates that just fit the Thanksgiving Season!


And we've all seen this amazing dresser from Lindaur Designs
 that just blows you away. 
They even have a tutorial on how to make your own.

    Hi Debra... I just cannot get enough of beautiful Autumn photos like these... my favorite is the gorgeous hutch with the Indian Corn and pheasant feathers on it... I am linking up today...     I love all of those inspiration pictures! I especially like the one with the indian corn on the glass doors. I could do that with my secretary doors! Good idea!

    I'm so with you on the holiday decorating!! I wanted to rip the Halloween decor down that day but my family wouldn't let me, and now it's agonizing to put it all away and have to decorate for Thanksgiving. Can we start a new trend and do Christmas on November 1st?!!! Have a great weekend Debra!

    Just wanted to let you know that I feel the same about Christmas and Fall! My home has been decorated for Fall/Halloween since September and I am ready to move onto Christmas. Like you, I too want a clean slate come the new year so my Christmas decoration also come down the Saturday after Christmas day! Happy Holidays!

    Debra, I just had to come back and tell you that although I adore Thanksgiving...I know exactly how you feel...Christmas decorating takes tons of time and just is displayed for such a short period.

    I hate rushing the holidays but both hubby and I have decided to start early for Christmas this year. Those six weeks go by in a heart beat.

    Anyway, you have a kindred spirit in this department.
