In case you missed yesterday's post, be sure and scroll down to catch the first edition of all the pics from
Leola's Open House. I still have a few blurry ones here. I had to laugh at some of your comments from yesterday...it seems there are more than a few of us out there that are "visually challenged"!! That's what happens when you're over 50
and/or have had a glass of champagne. noop, I just had the cider...
Is it me, or do some of these vintage Santas look a little creepy?
I'm sorry these are so blurry...
they are super cool,
watch parts and bling in pocket watch casings.
One of these came home with me too!
The one that says "faith".
Guess what's happening tomorrow?
Details coming on
Vintage Inspiration Friday!
xoxo,
Hi Debra, loved seeing more!... I too think some of those vintage Santas look a bit creepy... I bought one at an estate sale years ago that still wound up and rang a bell... sometimes, he would just ring the bell, when I had not wound him... it freaked me out a bit, I wanted to smack him, then thought I should not smack Santa, so I gave him away...can't wait to hear more about your everything French post! xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteDebra, these are such inspiring pictures! I really appreciate the Christmas ideas too. You've given me so great ideas! Thanks! I love Leola's; it looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could be there to touch these lovelies. I agree with ya about the Santas, it seems even the ones I make are a bit wild-eyed or sinister looking. My favorite is the St. Louis Globe picture. I used to buy one every morning. The post is just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful open house Debra! I wish there were stores like this by me. All of the good ones have closed their doors!
ReplyDeleteHow did you ever tear yourself away from that place??!! I LOVE those burlap pillows!!!
ReplyDeleteThe displays are amazing!!
GREAT pictures...I'm going to use the chalkboard idea.
Lovely post and photos. I too think some of the vintage Santas are a little creepy looking, but maybe that was to encourage the children to keep in line.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go shopping there!
LOL! That vintage Santa's eyes look a bit menacing! :-) But everything in that shop was so beautiful and that framed Christmas tree made out of buttons/jewels makes me want to try making one with my kiddos. I love that idea! Thanks so much for sharing all the lovely inspiration Debra!

ReplyDeleteFirst off, I would LOVE to shop there. Everything looks splendid except of course for the creepy Santa. I'm with you, he looks like a mean elf that someone slapped a fat suit on. Glad you had fun.
