Be Inspired# 173

I knew this week would be crazy and it has been. Last minute switcheroos on coffee table and accent tables have had me busy doing some painting instead of finishing packing. Amazing how furniture grows from the showroom floor by the time it gets to your home! But things are coming together. Some of you were amazed that I could get things packed in a few short weeks. The answer is that we are only taking a little of our furniture and "stuff" over to the new little house. The rest will go into storage or be part of a sale. I have several months of packing left to do once we move out. So no, I'm not super woman...

I've had white cupboards on the brain lately: they are always a favorite with all of us in the pottery, transferware, and ironstone crowd. One of my favorite bloggers, Kathleen, has a wonderful example from last week's link party. Here are the top visited links from last week:

      I'm so glad you're sharing your move with us. I'm learning so much, like to move into a new place before packing everything up! I think that must take the pressure off to make big decisions about your possessions when you're rushed, frazzled, and exhausted. So smart!

      Debra, what a pleasant surprise to see my sunroom featured - thank you! And thanks for hosting in the midst of your personal mayhem. It's been a trying week (year - can we have a do-over for 2014??) here in WV, where we are at the epicenter of "Do Not Use Water" as a result of a huge chemical leak in our river and water treatment plant. My sister & I still managed to restyle our retail booth spaces though...first our homes, now retail, and we're happy with the fresh, clean look (even though the water is anything BUT fresh).
      Be sure to pace yourselves as you move, so as not to run into any unforeseen issues - best wishes for a smooth go of it!

      Debra, I have a cute story for you. I was at Barnes and Nobles last week and was looking through a magazine and came across your porch. I knew right away it was YOU! I got so excited I showed a couple to the left of me and a man to the right and said, " That's my friend, look! She's in a magazine. I would know her beautiful porch anywhere".They were very kind and looked at your gorgeous pictures as I rambled on about you! Congratulations! I am so so happy for you!
